I. PRODUCT FEATURES
-The film covered use with Phenolic glue to waterproof, with a flat surface that reduce scraches and can be reused mant times
– The core of plywood uses Eucalyptus ,Acacia, high density, good bearing.
– The consists of many layers of cold pressed, hot pressed many times with glue with water resistance properties (Water Boil Proof – WBP) to increase elasticity, rigidity and ability to work in humid outdoor environments.
– Basic size of film faced plywood (DxR) 1220×2440 (mm), thickness from 12mm; 15mm; 17mm; 18mm or according to customer’s requirement, from which many different sizes can be processed.
II. THE FACTORSS WHICH IS DECIDE THE QUALITY OF FILM FACED PLYWOOD
A. Glue
Two main glues:
WBP( water boil proof): Water resistance feature, it can be used outdoors, in a warm and wet environment for a long time without separation.WBP is not the name of the type of glue, but the water-resistant properties of glue. If the glue has water-resistant properties, it is called WBP glue.
- WBP-Phenolic: Plywood use with phenolic glue can be boiling in hot water up to over 30 hours without seperation.
- WBP- Melamine( medium types). This can be boiling in hot water over 4 hours without seperation.
- WBP- Melamine ( good types)> This can be boiling in hot water over 20 hours without separation.
MR( moisture resistant): MR glue plywood is suitable for use in less humid environments, often used in indoor applications.MR glue plywood withstands maximum boiling for 30 minutes, less often used as a formwork in construction.
Similar to WBP, MR is not the name of the type of glue, but the moisture-resistant properties of the glue. Any glue that is moisture resistant is called MR glue.
B. Materials
Core: Eucalyptus Acacia, high density, good bearing. Use for funiture or floor
Surface: Eucalyptus, rubber: Smooth surface, good quality
Classification quality of veneer:
- AA type
High-quality full-sheet veneer (size 64×127 cm).
- Veneer panels are connected by machine (glue spraying and hot pressing).
- Absolutely flat plank surface.
- Negligible thickness tolerance.
- Class AA board intestines are used for high-quality film-coated plywood and have a much higher cost than Class A board intestines
- A type:
High-quality full-sheet veneer (size 64×127 cm).
- Flat board surface
- Negligible thickness tolerances
- Class A board intestines are used for high-quality film-coated plywood.
- B type:
Whole veneer layer, no more than 3 punctures or dead eyes (size 64×127 cm).
- The surface of the board is relatively flat.
- Negligible thickness tolerance.
- Class B board intestines are used for medium quality film-coated plywood.
C.Film
It is a waterproof Phenolic glue laminated plastic (PSF) screen that helps create glimmer, reduce scratches and protect the board during use.
Dynea film, Stora Esno are high-end film brands, often used for high-quality film-coated plywood products.
